Product details
Story tells that in 1847 the Georgian Prince Miha smuggled tea seedlings from China to his homesteads and established the first tea plantation in a subtropical climate favorable for tea. At that time, there was still no interest in professional tea cultivation in Georgia, and the Camellia Sinesis seedlings were allowed to grow by their own luck among other vegetation. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the supply of the original Georgian tea stopped, but now Georgian teas are entering the Western market to the great delight of tea people.
Strengthened by the mountain water of the Caucasus Mountains and the rich soil and ecosystem, the tea got its very own taste, which is different from other tea qualities.
Mokkamestarit's cupping team discovered honeydew melon-like and slightly citrus-like flavors.
